Marshall "Little Sleepy" Glenn had the dual role of football and basketball coach, the Elkins native leading West Virginia to an outstanding 8-1-1 record in 1937 that included a victory over Texas Tech in the 1938 Sun Bowl played in El Paso, Texas. The Mountaineers experienced declining records during Glenn’s final two season as he devoted more time to his offseason medical studies at Rush College in Chicago.
